2026 BEVERLY STROTT SERVICE AWARD
Miss Linda is an enthusiastic, uber organized, proactive volunteer. She volunteered with us even before she was a volunteer. As an attendee of our annual fundraising gala, she saw the check-in table could use some help, so she just sat down and got to work. After this event, she reached out to ask how she may help in a more official role. She jumped in behind the scenes to help design our newsletter. Fast forward a bit to her current role as an office assistant. She works tirelessly to make sure everything is organized, efficient and alphabetized. She is a magnificent problem solver and can sweet talk the printer like no other. We are so thankful for all she does and for her devotion to this ministry!
2026 MARY WALLIS STEWARDSHIP AWARD
Prince of Peace's Social Services office exemplifies what it means to Love First. It may be basic tangible needs that draw families to seek their services, but these families receive much more than material blessings. They are treated with such love and compassion that they feel seen, heard, and cared for in a way that they often do not feel on a daily basis. Whenever a PCC family has a specific need, we know we can always call on our Prince of Peace family. If they receive items through their Like New Thrift Shop that they know would benefit our families, they just drop by. On behalf of the vulnerable families they serve, we thank Prince of Peace Social Services for all they do to answer Jesus' call to serve others.
2026 BUNNY ROCK ADVOCACY AWARD
Baby Steps is an absolute God-send to this community! There is no greater advocate for life and pregnancy than the clinic's founder, Dr. Pamela Carbiener. She has worked with steadfast determination to provide the best care to the highest risk mothers and babies. Under her leadership, Baby Steps cares for pregnant women that other providers won't...the substance addicted, under-insured, those who are late to care. The population who needs the care the most. The same population that we serve at the Center. We are so grateful to have a safe place to send all of our moms to - at any stage of pregnancy, even before insurance is secured - without delays, red tape, or judgment. We thank Dr. Carbiener for seeing the gap in essential care and for the entire team that built the bridge to fill that gap.
